Privacy policy
Last updated: 9 October 2026
This policy covers "Daniel's Dashboard" (the "app"), a private personal dashboard run by Sohel Danial (Daniel Sohel) at dashboard.danielsohel.com. The app has a single user: me. It is not offered to the public, and no one else can sign up or connect an account.
What Google data the app accesses
When I connect my own Google account, the app requests these permissions:
- Gmail (gmail.modify): to list, read, search and show my emails; to send emails I write and explicitly send; and to archive, label, mark as read/unread or move emails to the trash when I choose to.
- Google Calendar (calendar): to show my calendars and events, and to create, change or delete events when I choose to.
- Basic profile (openid, email, profile): to confirm that the connected Google account is mine.
The app can also connect my university mailbox (Microsoft 365) in the same way, for the same purposes.
How the data is used
- Email and calendar data is used only to show it to me inside the app and to carry out actions I ask for.
- When I use the built-in AI assistant, the parts of my data needed to answer my request (for example, the emails or events I ask about) are sent to Anthropic's Claude API to generate the answer. Anthropic processes this data as a service provider under its commercial terms and does not use it to train its models. Nothing is sent to Anthropic unless I use the assistant or the "My day" summary.
- The AI assistant cannot send email on its own: it can only prepare drafts, which are sent only when I click Send.
- Google user data is not sold, not used for advertising, and not shared with anyone else.
- No one other than me reads the data.
Storage and security
- The app runs on a computer in my home and is reachable only through an encrypted Cloudflare Tunnel, protected by Cloudflare Access and a password login.
- Access tokens are stored encrypted. Email and calendar content is fetched when needed and is not copied into a separate database, except for drafts and chat history I create in the app.
- Encrypted backups of the app's database are kept for about 30 days.
Google API Services User Data Policy
Daniel's Dashboard's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs to any other app will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
Removing access and deleting data
Access can be removed at any time in the app's Settings ("Disconnect") or at myaccount.google.com/permissions. Disconnecting deletes the stored tokens. Chat history and drafts can be deleted in the app.
